During the first week of January in 2024, I had a supernatural experience that would forever change my life. During this time, I was experiencing a spiritual crossroads and was called by God to walk in faith to know Him intimately. During that time, I was given a name change of Luna de Luz or “La Luz” as I now go by, and great insight and trust into the balance and wellness of humanity. I initially started two social media pages in the past that were aimed at yogic healing, and another teaching about the women of the Bible. Yet, when I was given my new Divine name, I had a vision of Our Lady appear in my painting. She said she was Our Lady of Zeitoun. As I looked over various paintings I had, the faint image of Our Lady, or who I believed to be Mary Magdalene, were in quite a few of them.

On this site, you will find The Calais Arts Foundation. My daughter Calais Atoyebi passed away in 2017 from a stage four brain tumor called ATRT. One of her last messages to me before she was called home is:

1) She was leaving me gift, 2) She was going to the moon, 3) She was coming back. While all of that is still is very cryptic to me, I did receive the gift of art making. My work is profoundly spiritual and prophetic depending on the medium. I make it custom for the purposes of healing, insight or comfort.

Art has opened not only my heart, but cleared my mind, changed my life, brought me into my gifts and created community for me. Additionally, through the struggles of motherhood and health I often felt that when I centered money, instead of my ultimate Source, I never had enough. That is how I came to the art of upcycling and crafting for the home. When you can create, you will always have a life you love. Having a devoted spiritual practice, and a creative home environment that centers minimizing waste and reusing cherished items–you will embark on a journey of peace and well-being.
